They are an elastic waist and could really use a drawstring because they run a bit big. I am 5'5" 120lbs adult female and the XL fall off my waist...otherwise they are decent quality sweats and they work well for tie dying.From the reviews I read they said the sweatpants ran small, therefore I purchased them larger. When they arrived they were the size they should be. So, my son ended up with sweats that are a little too big, which I suppose is better than too small. I bought them for his Christmas play (he is Frosty the Snowman), which means he needs to wear them now. I just rolled them down at the waist and they still look ok. I do like that the material is good quality. I purchased a sweatshirt from Kmart because it was cheaper. I really wished I would have bought the same brand as the sweatpants because the sweatshirt was not only cheap in price, but cheap in quality. I guess you get what you pay for!Halloween costume ?Used these white sweatpants for a Halloween costume. Pretty true to size, just kind of baggy.
