These are attractive pants and look like they will hold up to play and laundry fine. They do seem to run big though. I bought 3 pair for my kids and everyone's are too roomy in the seat and too long. I would go down a size for youth unless your kids are built pretty stocky. Normally I buy my son a 10/12, so I bought him youth large. They are really big in the waist/seat and quite long. His sister's youth mediums are the right length but honestly still pretty big in the seat. Same story for my son who wears size 8. The youth mediums are too big in the waist/seat and about 4 inches past his feet in length.Son is 12 very slim and long legs he wears a 14 slim. I bought Med. These were too big in the waist but fit in length. We always have a hard time getting athletic pants for him. We kept them because he mostly just wears them over his basketball shorts but he does not like them.These pants run too big. They only run in three sizes, Small, Medium and Large; which allows Go Apparel to justify the poorly designed fitting. I bought two Small pants for one of my children and they were too wide and long, child would have to wait two years to wear them. I decided to return them. I had to wait for Go Apparel to approve the return, after it was approved I received a label and instructions stating that I would be responsible for the shipping. The cost of shipping would be 60% of the value of the pants. Not worth dealing with this company or its products.A lot thicker than I thought they would be but that's ok, my son is ALWAYS cold! He loves them!These pants aren't bad, just not what I was looking for and was way too small. I was looking for a lighter material that was a bit more loose fitting.I'm.
