The Beach Boys - Endless Summer Vinyl Record | Classic Surf Rock Music for Beach Parties & Summer Vibes

This is a review of the vinyl.The Beach Boys were my band in the 70's when this came out when I was 10 or 11 years old and I don't know how I discovered them well past their heyday, but I wound up owning this album. Unfortunately the quality of vinyl in the mid-seventies was horrible, and since I was playing it, (and playing it and playing it), it on a portable GE "record player" my copy soon wore down to nothing but crackles and pops. I eventually sold all my records including this one years ago.When I came across this 180 gram vinyl reissue on Amazon for a reasonable price, I just had to get it and I was not disappointed! The first thing that struck me about it was the original labels including having sides 1 and 4 on one disk and 3 and 4 on the others, to allow it to be stacked on a record changer. What was missing however was the bi-plane poster, but that's OK, because the vinyl is quiet and the mix is great.This is the perfect overview of the best of the pre-Pet Sounds Beach Boys, in terms of selection and pacing of songs. The vinyl reissue, like the original does not include Good Vibrations for which I am happy. To me Good Vibration was the kick-off of the next stage of their career.I highly recommend this and I consider it one of the "greatest" greatest hits collection, along with Hot Rocks.Just as an aside, a great companion album that was issued by Warner, (their current label at the time of the original release), idid include Good Vibrations as well as songs from Pet Sounds, Smile, Holland and others. Unfortunately that collections out of print.
